Chapter 27

The stadium is packed, and they are all branded. The team is AB Stars - (There will never be a new dream on top of this!) From the touchline to the management bench and super loyals in the stands, they know one unalterable fact: Winning is Gradual.  Before the game kicks off, they all set to sing loudly: - Buy/Sell Social Media Account I find a reason to believe, That the victory is mine The celebrations are coming, I already dreamt I already imagined So make me the best! As I slide from knowing to doing Even off the pitch I already dreamt I already imagined I know this is big  But it’s specific God, make this winning chain unbreakable! Look, ‘Watering the seed can prove to be challenging…but remember the goal.’ The seed will sprout. It must happen!  Yes, night-day, night-day, night-day. Think in Terms of Goals Hello Chapter 27:  I can see the future. Got a taste and touch of it already, it's here though.  But I Chose To: Live, Love and Say it Well in Good Sent...

Any Day, Any Minute is Fishing Time.

Image
E showup is my shop. And this shop opens daily. No, I compare it to a pitch where: Every day, l Show Up. I kick the ball and do the touches. Sometimes they break my leg. Sometimes I lose. Sometimes I cry in the rain. But the zeal and quest to score is too much, I always get back to the game. No wind, thunder, lightning, or storm kills my spirit. God is my backup.  No stuff to show, only stories and experiences to tell. Own competition. Own targets.  Hey, you own a shop? That hustle is your shop and you got to make sales. Each day, make them come back calling your name. Report to the office daily and get the job done; Diligently, while observing double accountability.  Three years on. #Eshowup boat sailed daily. Went fishing daily. Any day, any time has been a fishing time.   The Dream Shall Never Die.

EXPORTING WRITTEN CONTENT (2).

Image
EPISODE TWO. In this, I'll highlight the things the company or client you are working for is expecting from a writer; By the way, I first worked for writemyessayshere.com  ( ain't sure it still exists). I delivered hundreds of essays and research papers. Currently, I use writersarc.org , and  writershub.org .  1. Meet the deadline. If the paper is 6 hrs , it should be submitted within that time, beyond that starts attracting penalties and tension from the client. If fortunately or unfortunately one cannot meet the deadline, request for extension (though usually short) rather than keep quiet. 2. Delivering the paper. At times we pick up papers but have no clue of how to do it. In case you find it very technical to be done, you can drop it, but it attracts penalties. 3.Communication. The assumption is that one should be online - I advice you set or allow email notifications. Once you apply for an order, you are supposed to confirm receipt almost immediately. If...

EXPORTING WRITTEN CONTENT (1).

Image
EPISODE ONE. "A NEW FREELANCING ZONE". This is what I have always told anyone I introduce to the volatile industry.  Sometimes I meet with professionals, and they ask what I do, and am like…. where do I start from - Just to tell them, "I export written content." Yes, exporting written content.  For you to understand better, I will give two scenarios: - Scenario 1 . Suppose you are in University pursuing your undergraduate or postgraduate. On top of that, you participate in the music club or choir. Still, you take part in basketball, not to mention, you play cards and hang around with friends.  Then, one fine morning ( Let me use Thursday ), the philosophy lecturer issues an assignment to be submitted the following evening (Friday). Mark you, on Friday you are to represent the school's basketball department in a friendly match, mandatory attendance. This means that you only have Friday to work on the assignment and submit it the same day. But it's on th...

YES, I CHANGED.

Image
I shouldered the pillow away. My head comfortably on my hands; I turned to the wall. I wasn't there yet - I wanted a comfortable rest. After a busy night, all I wanted was to sleep. I, therefore, pulled the duvet to cover my head.  There, in the dark, I tried crossing my eyes even harder. The mind was still on. I had to surrender:  Hey, how is the clock ticking? How have you changed? How the world, too, is changing? Interestingly, how everyone must adopt.  (All this flashed in my mind in a second or two.). Yes, I have changed. Maybe to a quieter and more reserved individual. More calculative and determined. One stride at a time is what matters the most now – even if it means late sleep, early mornings, more 'lone' time. Yes, it feels like it – The right turn, speed, and focus. Ambition can only be its peak. Amazing persistence.  With the peace there is in silence, these changes are the costs of ambition . It goes to the extent of being misunderstood, appearing ...

RESET

Image
For 35 minutes, I sat along the cemetery pathway. This time I had glasses. Then came this lady whom I had been watching from a distance. Though I ought to have consoled her, she held me by the shoulders and started; “…you get older, and you learn there is only one sentence and if you can say it to yourself it offers more comfort than almost any other; I am not going to live like this anymore! Some make that decision at 15, some at 25, others at 50 while most never make it. By this time, she sits by my right side. Then continues, “Life is generous to those who pursue their personal legend. One stroke at a time, everyone is intended to become the person they choose to become. Without gambling for the future, one should take control of their environment. However, look; there are certain times in our life when we don’t get to choose what happens. It’s tough to know when to accept your circumstances, and when to take the reigns and make a concerted effort to influence your life...

FOUR MINUTES HOLIDAY

Image
… I am in a boat bike, 1630hrs: Moderately , Its_My_Time goes first in the playlist. Wonderful_wonder by Nathaniel reignites my love for Gods nature as it plays next. Some kilometres away — is a dream of paradise; an escape from the rat race, a perfect patch of sand where you can gaze at a calm blue sea while relaxing under the rustling palms. Well, not all islands are created the same. This is my new home. Here, I hide out in a luxurious over-the-water bungalow and bask in my good fortune as well as fall asleep to the gentle slosh of the sea. It’s fun. As I cycle back to the island, Roger Whittaker’ A Little Goodbye sinks deep and moves me to tears…(chorus). A little good-bye A little I'll do what I must do A little good-bye A little I'll do what I must do The sundowns. Every new day offers a unique mechanism — a new change. A Laptop, internet access, food & power is good enough to sort me for survival on the island. However, this calls...

THE KINDERGARTEN

Image
I was ten years by then. In a small kiosk, I met my caring Dad who broke the news to me; “I’m transferring you to an academy.” Over the next 11 yrs or so, I spent most of my life trying to specialize myself in a building called ‘school.’ Finally, according to the set system, the schooling came an end when I did my last paper on campus, BBA 407. Little did I know schooling had just begun! When I was 21 years, I remember these words from David, former schoolmate: Life itself is a school — a kindergarten. I thought he was mad! Today, I stamp this statement as true. Life you are exceptional, And I want you to know how much I enjoy being your student How fast the years run I try hard to learn all that I can Indeed, there is so much to know! The one thing you have tried to teach me To last my whole life through, Is to know that you are SPECIAL. BEST KINDERGARTEN. With distinguished professor's, life is a thorough kindergarten. With all the degrees, pape...

LOT MORE BRANCHING, YET.

Image
Lots to go. Maybe halfway there. The goal is simple: Catching_Up. Soon! I loved the people I met, the things I learned, the stories I heard and equally told, Loved my new home-based office more. Despite the horrors, the good days, the just plain old weird days; still had lessons to carry forward: God is awesome! Whether you are on board or not, Life keeps on trucking along. I should probably just stay on board. Change is a chance! I branched out on my own. As to why I did it, as will be asked in my 60s', and a memory of my bold decision at Twenty_three,  here is an answer … “It was a strange feeling. More on my own, I wanted to experience the world. ‘How simple could it be’, ‘How hard could it be’, I always wondered. I am still learning. The work wasn’t boring; we did exciting things; we made two days old businesses look like a successful start up. We built an ecosystem and opened up to remote entrepreneurs. I just wanted to swim elsewhere.   ...

A NOTE FOR JUNIOR

Image
At the age of 12 or so, my mom and dad moved to Texas. I cannot tell you what exactly the reason was or pretty much any other detail about the relocation because I honestly do not recall anything of the sort. One of the most vivid reasons to smile at that time was getting closer to my childhood friend, Junior. We must have been tiny kids when we met each other and started getting along so well. Neither of us knows the exact year of our comradeship. Years passed. And the comradeship turned to a brotherhood. One day we were sent to the woods, we had to sort out the cows as the weekend was approaching. Uncontrollably, each of us started laughing. We stopped cutting the thick grass. We sat and initiated a chat about life. We had big dreams. We both wanted to make it so soon… “Hey, look at the sky, yet two more rounds, remember the route we are using, I mean the hill”. I really remember that day more than others that we had together. Not to mention the day we stole avocad...

WHAT MAKES SENSE?

Image
A beautiful picture was hanging squarely on the wall. From a distance, I took notes: How can we turn things around to begin living a life that is filled with well-being, meaning and fulfilment -- a life that does make sense?   The majority of the people in this world are living in a way that simply doesn't make sense.   We are a species that has lost its way. Well, what doesn’t make sense? Constantly thinking about the anxieties of your future. Living your life based on societies expectations. Being on a constant drive to be and acquire more:   “Bigger, better, more”. More wealth, more possessions, more power, more status. Greed!! Then, what makes sense? Finding pleasure in the little things. Within every single moment lies a gift for us to discover, and when we are present we can take what the moment provides us with, whereas when we aren't present we miss out on that beauty. Discovering who you are at your very essence. Giving your gr...

WORRY NOT

Image
Just admit: to a certain extent, you have spent too much of your life tiptoeing around. Trying to become someone else. You wanted to make a good impression with people. You wanted to make everyone like you. Well, you wanted everything to be easy and therefore sacrificed part of the truth, part of yourself for the sake of not stepping out of line. For too much of your life, you have hurt yourself. All this was as a result of worry. My friend – worry not – You’re a fisherman living alone along the coast You put your fishing pole down and sit at the water’s edge, No catch Worry not – Mum, Dad; your son/daughter was involved in a fatal accident Sister, you feel sick, you can’t have children of your own, betrayed in love, divorced Worry not – Employee, retrenchments all over and you are a victim Entrepreneur,  that tender dint come through, your partners kicked you out of the deal Hey Dude, you missed that interview, bro Worry no...

Entrepreneurship Touch Down

Image
Not only do entrepreneurs think differently, but also they act differently. Entrepreneurship isn't a destination. It's a journey. On this journey, successful entrepreneurs don't have an exception of arriving to some finish line. In any journey, you have times of joy and more than a few setbacks. Challenges along the way can either lead you to profit & growth, or losses & collapse. "My biggest hurdle was defeating the existing competition. Many of the colleges that offered diploma courses had been in existence for over 10 years, but I stuck to my guns." Lizzie  Wanyoike , Founder & CEO NIBS "Gaining traction takes time, and for me , it took three years before I broke even. I did not make money in the first year. Always be patience and eventually, the money will come." Alison, CEO of AI Is On Production LTD. Many entrepreneurs celebrate the big wins, but what about the small wins? Just before the touch down - in...

At The End Of The Day...

Image
We build things and make things happen on our own terms: We are architects of our destiny(s). However, over the years, I put pieces of myself in every story and my perspective has shifted. Reflect about this; *The young man who had his life turned upside down by cancer. *The young woman, and mother of two, who lost her husband to death at 27. *The hard-working employee who lost her job when her employer of 25 years filed for bankruptcy. Life will take things from you, gradually & continuously. It's funny how we outgrow what we once thought we couldn't live without and then we fall in love with what we didn't even know we wanted. It's until later that you will realize and feel fully comfortable with some of the best chapters of your life. As they arise, do your best to embrace life's uncertainties. Inner strength & courage don't always ring out loud. Sometimes these qualities are merely embodied by a deep breath & a soft whis...
