RESET

For 35 minutes, I sat along the cemetery pathway. This time I had glasses. Then came this lady whom I had been watching from a distance. Though I ought to have consoled her, she held me by the shoulders and started;

“…you get older, and you learn there is only one sentence and if you can say it to yourself it offers more comfort than almost any other; I am not going to live like this anymore! Some make that decision at 15, some at 25, others at 50 while most never make it.
By this time, she sits by my right side. Then continues,

“Life is generous to those who pursue their personal legend. One stroke at a time, everyone is intended to become the person they choose to become. Without gambling for the future, one should take control of their environment.
However, look; there are certain times in our life when we don’t get to choose what happens. It’s tough to know when to accept your circumstances, and when to take the reigns and make a concerted effort to influence your life. But even as such things unfold, we should stay grounded and draw more strength in quest of being responsible for our own experiences.”

I gather some courage to walk. Standing by the grave, I start wondering;
Owned a city? Never saw the streets? _-
--That’s the richest man in the cemetery--

Its past 1 pm and my next destination is Karura Forest. I take a path leading to the north, cycling; I Reset my mind for a life I want for myself. I thought this should be often.

RESET.
